I don’t know, fly casual.” – Han Solo™ The empire is rebuilding the Death Star™, and with its fleet spread throughout the galaxy working to eradicate the rebels, it is unprotected. Admiral Ackbar™ explains to the assembled rebellion troops that while the weapons of the Death Star are not active, the Death Star does have a strong defense mechanism. It is protected by an energy shield generated from the forest moon of Endor™. General Han Solo leads a small team of rebels including Chewbacca™, Princess Leia Organa™, Luke Skywalker™, and the Droids, C-3PO™ and R2-D2™ aboard The Tydirium, a stolen Imperial shuttle disguised as a cargo ship.
Strike Team was painted in 2023, in commemoration of the 40th Anniversary of the film Star Wars™ - Return of the Jedi .
This painting is the 10th collaboration between Lucasfilm and the Thomas Kinkade Studios to feature iconic scenes from Star Wars™ The prior paintings include Obi-Wan’s Final Battle, A Son’s Destiny, The Battle of Hoth™, Do. Or do not. There is no try., On the Run, The Duel: Rey™ vs. Ren, Rey™ of Hope, Rey’s™ Awakening, and You’re My Only Hope .
