Dr. Patrick Kinkade, brother of Thomas Kinkade, earned his Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. He went on to complete a Master’s in Counseling Psychology at California State University, Los Angeles, and a PhD in Social Ecology and Research Methodology at the University of California, Irvine. Today, he serves as a full professor in the Department of Criminal Justice at Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth, Texas.

From Academia to the World of Fine Art

Since 1995, Patrick has been an integral part of Thomas Kinkade Studios, carrying forward his brother’s vision of hope and inspiration through fine art. His creative passion includes writing travel and children’s books, with four published works under the Thomas Kinkade Studios brand. Among them, Chasing the Horizon, co-authored with Thom, remains a collector favorite.

Patrick now serves as a Thomas Kinkade Studios Legacy Artist, partnering with galleries and art collectors nationwide. Through the celebrated Generations Tour, he connects with fans of Thomas Kinkade paintings, sharing the legacy of inspirational wall art, collectible paintings, and timeless messages of joy, faith, and beauty.
