Scott Smith is an award-winning painter, former Art Gallery owner, and trusted leader in the fine art community. He received his formal art education at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, where his dedication and insight later earned him a position on the Academy’s Advisory Board in 1995 and, by 2005, a place on its steering committee.

Throughout his career, Scott has been recognized with numerous awards, featured in high-profile art installations, and invited to judge many respected fine art shows. As a Creative Director and Product Development Professional, he has helped design many top-selling products and collaborated with nationally known artists and licenses. His expertise extends to canvas paintings, collectible art, and wall décor that continues to inspire homes across the nation.

Scott’s connection to Thomas Kinkade is both personal and professional. Reflecting on their brainstorming sessions, he recalls, “I could see the genius in Thom. His mind worked quickly, always seven steps ahead of everyone else.”

After more than two decades of shaping successful programs with the Thomas Kinkade brand, Scott accepted the honor of becoming a Thomas Kinkade Studios Artist. Today, he carries forward this legacy, creating uplifting fine art, canvas wall art, and living room paintings that bring light, beauty, and inspiration into everyday life.
